Healthy Hispanic Foods

It's commonly taught that fast food doesn't contain enough nutritional balance to maintain strong health, but the same applies to our favorite everyday dishes!


The Midvale community is 23.5% Hispanic, and contains three Title I schools, meaning, in general, income is low, and healthy eating is not a top priority. Below are some recipes that demonstrate simple ways to make a common meal healthier!



These recipes feature real ingredients such as fresh tomato and lettuce, along with lean chicken. My personal favorite, out of the ones I've tried, was the "Zesty Avocado Black Bean Dip!" (link below!)
